In The Beginning

Well here goes nothing.

From the insistence of my family, especially Paul and Sarah, we've decided to start a blog. I was getting pretty home sick when i checked out their blog (tarasarahpaul.blogspot.com) and so i figured i'd do my part in letting you in on our lives. We're back right now from our vacation to Orlando, Fl. It was a blast. Dess and i were able to go to Islands of Adventure, a Universal Studios amusement park. We went on all the rides, except for the one where you had to have a child before they would let you go on it. I suggested that we ask some parents if we could take their kid on it, but Dess wasn't up for that. We did all the roller coasters and the water rides too. It was an exhausting day. We both realized we aren't as young as we once were. At about 3pm we crashed hard. We sat on the curb and just rested for about an hour. Man, i don't know how our parents ever did it.

Besides the amusement park, we also went to a dinner show called Medieval Times. It was a fun night and Dess was dubbed "The Queen of Love and Beauty" by the champion. She was all dressed up in a beautiful gown that she'd purchased for this vacation. It was a black beauty with a little bit of a dark red underneath it. She looked gorgeous. We also went mini-golfing and go-karting and to the Atlantic coast where we got to play around on the beach. All in all it was a fun time. We got some needed rest and had lots of play time too. Thank you everyone that had a part in providing for us. We thank God for the fact that within a week, we'd gotten about $600 to make this trip possible. Isn't God great!!

Another part of the vacation was actually a mission for Dess. She felt led to a specific resort to talk with someone she didn't know. It was a little nerve wracking, but it all turned out well. Dess was able to share God's love with a lady named Nicole and it was just another step of faith for Dess.

We're back in Lake Charles for a few days before we depart for our next adventure to Washington/Idaho states in order to spend a merry Christmas with the Wendle's. Spending the holidays with family is such a wonderful thing.

I think that's about all i'm going to post for today. Hopefully i'll be able to figure out the pictures soon and get some of them posted too.

Blessings to you all.

HIya Guys! Mom and i tried to leave a comment earlier and although I have a blog, i have no idea what the password is as i leave that kind of thing up to Paul! You both look terrific, relaxed and carefree. We love seeing you like that. I hope you both have wonderful holidays and of course, we wish you were here.

Praise God for Ms. Trena.
We are definitely blessed to know you and to be loved by you. Now that you created a blog just to write on ours, maybe you can keep it updated, so we can know what's happening in your life. A blog from the "leading" Lady of VIP. It's an idea, but i know you've got your plate full with tons of other things. Thanks for being a friend.
love,
joel
